In 2017, the summer before receiving her BFA, Ali learned to weave at Penland School of Craft and shortly after acquired a floor loom all the necessities to start a weaving practice. Since then she has been learning, bettering her craftsmanship, and experimenting with new artwork and product development. All items are slow made with longevity of use in mind and the integration of handmade items into the everyday.
